Out and About: Bellevue Beach Park, Just North of Copenhagen.

Summer in Copenhagen just got a whole lot better after discovering beautiful Bellevue Beach. It’s located just north of Copenhagen, only 10-15 minutes by train. The beach is really kid friendly with shalow water and loads of space. You can also have a look at some original Arne Jacobsen architecture, the iconic blue lifeguard towers, the changing booths and the Bellevue Theatre (further up the road). In other words, this beach has something for everyone.

Pack the kid´s beach toys and head out!

Pretty little straight lines (yes, I'm a nerd).

The iconic blue lifeguard towers are so beautiful. Designed by Arne Jacobsen.

Volleyball courts and a great view over Bellevue Theatre.

There is an extensive green area behind the beach. Perfect if you want some peace and quiet or some shade.

A little preview of the changing booths designed by Arne Jacobsen.

The Bellevue Beach Park has a small but really good café where you can order sandwiches, cakes, ice cream, hot and cold drinks. If you come without kids you can enjoy organic beer or a pretty good gin & tonic. Your welcome.

Have a seat, you can even see Sweden across the water.

Visit the Bellevue Beach Park by train (10-15 minutes with the local train) or do what most Danes do, bicycle. That will take you about 30 minutes from Østerbro. Enjoy!
